Case Study: Addressing Rising Damp for Mr. and Mrs. Monroe in the Southside of Glasgow

Solution

- Injection of Damp Proof Cream: We injected a specialist damp proof cream into the lowest mortar joint of the visible bricks. This treatment forms a chemical barrier, preventing further moisture from rising through the walls.
- Damp Proof Membrane Installation: A high quality damp proof membrane was installed over the bare brick walls. This membrane acts as a protective barrier, ensuring moisture cannot penetrate the newly treated walls.
- Wall Restoration: Once the damp proofing measures were in place, we reinstated the walls using plasterboard, followed by a smooth skim coat finish.
